The Rudolf Lab

We are developing and providing a pipeline for the use of 3D cell cultures in pharmaceutical research. The pipeline includes all steps from design and production of 3D cultures, drug exposure, automated brightfield live cell microscopy, and endpoint wholemount analysis. The latter includes optical tissue clearing, 3D-(immuno) fluorescence staining, 3D confocal microscopy, and AI-based 3D segmentation at the single-cell and subcellular level. 3D-cell models range from simple cell-line based spheroids over coculture spheroids up to hiPSC-derived organoids. For multimodal analyses, we also cooperate with other partners, including AG Weller and AG Hopf. Rüdiger Rudolf is member of CeMOS, and at Heidelberg University of the Faculty of Biosciences, IZN, and MCTN
